Supply Chain Programme Manager

 

Our client is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Programme Manager, this role will be located in Wimborne, Dorset and you would be responsible for implementation of specific supply chain work packages (Development, Manufacture or both) in the vendor base within sub system. 

 

Our clients Procurement department consists of 40 employees and its key function is to find and manage outsource partners allowing us to deliver great products to time, cost and quality requirements

 

As a Supply Chain Programme Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Supply chain or Procurement Manager background

Excellent Supplier Relationship Management and negotiation skills

Good team working skills

Data literate

Good interpersonal skills and able to manage commercial relationships

Must be self-starter

Must be able to develop and expand the role

Must be able to demonstrate commercial benefit

Academic studies to HNC/ HND level, typically following professional qualification, or experience to equivalent depth, and or breadth.

Experience in working with IPT’s delivering sources of supply to new product development programmes

 

As a Supply Chain Programme Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

Ensure compliance to programme cost and schedule for each work package

Ensure compliance with customer flow-down requirements (offset, DFAR, quality, etc.)

Maintain implementation plan in the overall product for the supply chain work package they are responsible for including all internal and external dependencies

Supports sourcing process for hardware requirements.

Manage the supply chain process to ensure Supply Chain is fully engaged, through contracting, development reviews including System Requirements, Preliminary Design, Critical Design, Test Readiness, and Production Readiness.

Manages critical paths within the work packages including internal/external dependencies, cross functional reviews and issue resolution

Works with Commodity management to support the generation of sourcing strategies for components/systems

Manages the flow of programme/engineering change for work packages being delivered

Perform contract & milestone reviews with suppliers for responsible work packages

Lead & manage supplier led design change proposals

Manages critical paths with the prime program (proposal stage, pending win, win, development, test, transition to production) including supplier dependencies and new program awards
