Although business growth has slowed in the past few months, job creation has picked up to a 14-month high, according to a recent survey.
Starting salaries have also risen at their fastest pace since 2015 as many recruiters struggle to find the right staff. Since there is fewer people looking for jobs, recruiters are having to review their starting salaries to secure the talent they need. Many firms are also having to pay well above market rates to attract employees as the skills shortage intensifies.
