Electronics Design Engineer – Medical Imaging Systems

                                                                                                                             

Salary:  £50,000 to £70,000 depending on level of experience, plus 15% bonus and a very attractive benefits package

Location:  Basingstoke, Hampshire

 

Our client is a highly successful expanding 3D medical imaging company. They have a friendly team working in a vibrant culture on a high-tech product.

 

They are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer who will share their passion and will bring creativity and fun to their team as they develop their next generation products and services.

 

You will be working as part of a multi-discipline R&D team based in Basingstoke. The Electronic Design Engineer will be responsible for design of analogue and digital circuits for use in high accuracy 3D camera system for use in medical products.

 

The Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for identifying key areas of Product specification and creating detail Hardware Specification (Electronic), and subsequent test specification for validation and verification of the design. Engineer will be responsible for supporting PCBA suppliers and the design of test equipment/Jigs as required for both production test and PCBA testing.

 

You will be responsible for the support of package release and the maintains of legacy designed through change control process. Also, the support of EoL surveillance and any subsequent changes required.

 

All designs should be designed to meet the MDR and EMC regulations. Some EMC testing and travel to test sites may occasionally be required.

 

Essential Skills and Experience for the role of Electronics Design Engineer:

  • Analogue and high-speed digital design
  • Multilayer PCB design with high-speed mixed signals
  • Comprehensive knowledge of full design lifecycle including specification design, test and documentation
  • Structured test implementation
  • Excellent proficiency in component level fault finding
  • Motivated, quality-focused engineer with excellent team working skills
  • Good English communication skills, oral and written.
  • Minimum: 2.1 Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a design engineering role

  • VHDL or Verilog
  • Embedded C or C derived langue development for microcontrollers
  • Flex-Rigid PCB design
  • Switching and Linear power supply design
  • OrCAD or Pulsonix
  • Temperature control electronics design
  • Assembler
  • Precision Soldering
  • EMC and safety test house support
  • Medical devices ISO13485, ISO 60601.
