Electronics Design Engineer

 

Are you Interested in working on cutting edge Antenna and RF Electronic systems? Our client is a leading global technology and services innovator have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated Design Engineer to work on their market leading antenna products. The role involves Antenna and RF Electronics Design within the Antenna Systems Group.  Their products are primarily designed for aerospace applications to high specifications and involve exciting technical challenges. Our client is happy to look at more junior level Design Engineers wishing to gain more experience and training.

 

The Opportunity – Electronics Design Engineer

You will have the opportunity to work with and be supported by, a group of highly committed, knowledgeable Engineers and to learn about the requirements of the aerospace environment and aircraft systems. They are looking for somebody who is dynamic and motivated, a team player with good communications skills, verbal and written and who doesn’t mind getting involved in all aspects of a project.

 

The Role – Electronics Design Engineer

You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team on the design on the development of anti-jam antennas. The role covers the full development cycle from requirements analysis and management, concept studies, simulation, prototyping, build, through to qualification and production readiness. 

 

You should possess the ability and willingness to learn about antenna theory and practice as well as the practical aspects of the aerospace environment. It would be of benefit to have some prior experience and an education to degree level in Electronic Engineering or a related subject.

 

It would also be useful if you had some familiarity with one or more electromagnetic solvers (CST MWS, FEKO, HFSS) and RF test and measurement equipment.

 

However, for the right candidate, training will be provided where required. At Marlow our client design and manufactures antennas and the associated electronic systems, for military and civil communications, navigation, identification, datalink and search and rescue applications.  They pioneered frequency agile V/UHF tuneable antennas and continue to be a key supplier to major avionics companies. Their r GNSS anti-jam technology utilises state of the art hardware and algorithms to provide highly jam resistant navigation.  Both military and civil users rely on their direction-finding systems for search and rescue operations.
