Emergency Response Advisor


Our client is a Successful Global aerospace company and they are currently recruiting for an Emergency Response Advisor this role is a 12 month FTC. The Emergency Response Advisor is directly responsible to the Head of Safety & Security for ensuring effective Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plans are maintained. The prime location is Christchurch and the role offers a very attractive salary package.


As an Emergency Response Advisor your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Sound knowledge of Safety Management principles and practices, ideally aviation
  • Previous experience of Safety Management principles and practices, ideally aviation
  • Previous experience of Emergency Response / Business Continuity principles and practices
  • Formal training / qualification in Safety Management Systems, including Emergency Response / Business Continuity, will be advantageous
  • Self-motivated, assertive, resilient with the ability to hold their own
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Ability to interface with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Experienced in presenting information, written and verbal
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to achieve deadlines
  • Computer literate – Use MS Office Software and other Company Software as required
  • Maintain high levels of integrity, work ethic and confidentiality and use discretion appropriately

As an Emergency Response Advisor your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Development and upkeep of the Emergency Response Plan
  • Development and upkeep of the Business Continuity Plan
  • Development and upkeep of all ERP and BCP Manuals, Procedures and associated documentation
  • Development, coordination and execution of the ERP (Aviation & Environmental) and BCP Exercise Schedules, in liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Development of effective working relationships with external agencies (Emergency Services, Police, Airport Authorities, etc…)
  • Ad Hoc / Out-of-Hours work during urgent / unforeseen business requirements.
  • Domestic / International travel as required.
