Leading Hand - Aircraft Maintenance


Our client is currently recruiting for a Leading Hand. This role is based in Waddington.  


As a Leading Hand your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Previous experience within an aircraft maintenance organization

Previous experienced as an aircraft maintenance fitter / technician in aircraft avionic and electrical system

Health and Safety awareness. British Safety Council Level 1

Sentry E3-D experience

Previous Supervisory experience


As a Leading Hand your main responsibilities will involve:

Maintain proper authority to supervise work being completed at Fitter level

Producing accurate and comprehensive documentation for all aircraft work completed. Ensuring that appropriate ‘open entries’ are annotated on the documentation.

Working efficiently with reference to all approved technical data.

Bringing to the attention of Supervisor/Manager any discrepancy within the approved technical data or maintenance procedure.

Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.

Using the tool control system correctly.

Ensuring engineering standards and practices are maintained and that flight safety regulations are properly observed.

Support technical, safety and other investigations when requested.

Support implementation of remedial action from investigations.

Contribute to business improvements initiatives.
