Product Marketing Manager

 

Our client is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to direct the day to day & strategic marketing of the highly successful and innovative TeraVM traffic emulation product in the IP Network and Network virtualisation market and TM500 UE simulator, market leader Network Tester. This role can be based from the Dublin office or Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Candidates must be willing to travel globally for up to 40% of time.  Extremely competitive salary and benefits

 

The position is a primary stakeholder in the marketing of these flagship product lines and as such the successful candidate should have deep knowledge of customer needs and the market, both now and the future direction. The candidate must understand the latest Radio (RAN) technologies e.g. 4G, 5G, Internet of Things, Massive MIMO and the trends on network architecture e.g.  Network disaggregation, functional split and virtualization. Equally, the candidate must understand IP networks and applications and have an appreciation for security protocols and how virtualization technologies can be used for development, test and validation of communication networks.

 

As a Product Marketing Manager your key responsibilities will include:

Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates TM500/TeraVM in the market that incorporates our RAN to CORE validation product offering

Collateral – Creation of technical presentations, whitepapers, app notes, datasheets and marketing bulletins, website, etc for use by the sales and marketing communications teams

Direct TM500/TeraVM marketing communications, advertising, distribution, sales and promotional activities

Promote TM500/TeraVM in customer meetings, tradeshows, conferences etc.

Evaluate the product position versus the market and competitors using market research information, business intelligence and knowledge of specific market areas. Feed the output into product marketing strategy, roadmaps and marketing message and collateral

Sales enablement - Build excellent customer and internal relationships, communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team

Identify, where possible, new market opportunities for the TM500/TeraVM Product line

Drive to meet targets and contribute to the direction and expansion of the TM500/TeraVM Product line (operating within the Wireless business unit)

Interact with key external stakeholders: Customers, Distributors/representatives, Original Equipment Manufacturers

Support pricing objectives and strategy

Maintains favourable relations with customers by organising and developing specific customer relations programs, Technical Meeting, Industry Conferences, particularly with ETSI NFV etc

Support the business development and sales channel in TM500/TeraVM sales opportunities, including assisting with material for bids and proposals and pricing

Training and support - provide product/domain expertise and strategic marketing presentations to the sales channel

Input into Product Requirements and Delivery - Work with Product Management & engineering teams to define, cost and manage delivery of features and product releases

 

As a Product Marketing Manager your skills and experience should ideally include:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience required. MSc/MBA is preferred but not essential

Knowledge of Radio Access Networking technologies for 3G/4G and 5G. An overview of PHY, L2 and L3 stack will be appreciated.

Proven experience in product/strategic marketing in the networking/cellular wireless market

Able to operate as part of high performing teams

Work within the wider context of a large organisation in a matrix management structure

Able to make decisions in complex/ambiguous situations and with incomplete data

Excellent written communication skills

Cultural sensitivity

 

The following experience is highly desirable:

Test & measurement sector experience

Understanding of radio access technologies and trends such as Internet of Things (NB-IOT CAT-M), Massive MIMO, Analog and digital beamforming, mmwave, functional split 

Knowledge of network infrastructure trends such as functional split, network disaggregation, virtualization, remote digital and radio unit etc

Appreciation of automation requirements in modern datacenter labs such as continuous integration

Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as NFV/SDN; VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Xen, OpenStack & AWS/Azure

IP networking expertise with networking products such as VPN/Firewalls, Load Balancers, WAN Optimization, Switching/Routing, IPS/IDS/DPI, Internet Applications
