Quality Manager

 

Our client has a 90+ year history of technical innovations that have evolved to keep pace and address their customer’s most pressing business issues. Our client makes equipment, software, and systems that help to plan, deploy, certify, monitor, and optimize all kinds of networks - like those for mobile phones, service providers, large businesses and data centres. And, they are also at the forefront of optical security –bending light to develop and deliver optical solutions that provide security to the world’s currencies and safety and performance applications for consumer electronics and spectrometry. Our client is looking for a Quality Manager to be responsible for the development of the Quality strategy and its implementation within the BU with Director of Operations. Driving Business Unit quality improvement through standard work, auditing, and corrective and preventive actions (RCPS) you will be accountable for the Quality Management of BU internal operations and its Supply Chain, whilst ensuring the Business Management System Processes meet all Quality System and Regulatory requirements and the Business Unit remains in good standing.  This role is based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire with a very competitive salary.

 

As a Quality Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Proven leadership, delivering excellence in Quality

Depth of experience in driving quality improvement

Solid understanding of AS, QS, and regulatory standards

Able to influence and solicit buy in from wide range of BU stakeholders

Able to train, mentor, and coach individuals on tool use and quality improvement objectives

Demonstrated ability for Root Cause Problem Solving

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies would be a distinct advantage

Experience from a manufacturing or telecoms industry would be highly desirable 

 

As a Quality Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

Ensure Quality and business objectives are aligned.

Develop and deploy the Strategic Plan for the Quality function

Maintain quality standards, accreditations and procedures using internal and external audits to measure gaps and define improvement needs

Define and deliver organisational and competency requirements to deliver quality policy expectations

Set quality targets, measure achievement and facilitate process of developing action plans to address root causes of variances

Manage all assurance and control processes across the BU

Set quality targets, measure achievement and facilitate process of developing action plans to address root causes of variances and accountable for the achievement of all key Quality KPI’s

Through a robust audit process, maintain the Business Management System on behalf of the business by identifying gaps in its application and ensuring that actions are assigned and managed to close those gaps

Proactively improve Quality performance by identifying areas of the business where processes need to be strengthened.

Ensure the BU and related departments are in compliance with ISO9001 2015 and other certifications and manage actions and improvement plans related to those certifications
