Reliability Engineer – Aerospace

 

Our client is a highly successful global aerospace company they are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join their Product Support Group. This opportunity exists for Engineers who have experience as Reliability practitioners or who wish to consider moving into the field of Reliability Engineering.  Applications are invited from candidates with a broad engineering background who can demonstrate a good understanding of the principles that contribute to the reliability of products in-service.  Tailored training and development can be provided to the successful candidate. 

 

As a Reliability Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

HND or Degree in a mechanical, electronic or aerospace engineering.  Other qualifications, including HNC, BTEC or equivalent, together with relevant experience, will be considered.

A good knowledge Electrical, electronic, electromechanical and mechanical systems.

Knowledge of engineering design procedures, practices and drawings.

Computer literacy.

Good verbal, written communications and presentation skills.

Proven analysis and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of Reliability principles, analysis tools and techniques.

Experience of aircraft systems, particularly airframe and fuel systems would be highly desirable.

Experience in the practical application Reliability and Availability analyses (Predictions, FMECA, Fault Tree modelling).

As a Reliability Engineer your primary function is to influence product reliability, from concept through to manufacture, by:

Conducting Reliability Analyses and studies to identify potential design weaknesses and risks.

Providing Subject Matter Expert advice to engineering Project teams to influence designs and advise on reliability considerations.

Providing failure rate data and failure mode analyses to support Safety Cases.

Producing reports and data to satisfy Customer deliverables.

Providing evidence to verify reliability requirements.

Providing Subject Matter Expert advice on reliability aspects of failures of equipment in-service.

Good verbal, written communications and presentation skills.

Proven analysis and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of Reliability principles, analysis tools and techniques.

Experience of aircraft systems, particularly airframe and fuel systems would be highly desirable.
