Technical Project Manager / Analyst

 

The Technology & Innovation team work in the field of AI, machine learning, agent-based systems, computer vision, and spatial computing.  The team are currently seeking a highly motivated Analyst with Team or Project Leadership experience to join them within our Fareham office to fill the role of Technical Project Manager.

 

The successful candidate will Project Manage specific projects using Agile software methodologies, under the oversight of the Programme Manager, while also collating, analysing and owning data required for the projects on behalf of the software development team.  Any candidate will need to have the right attitude, be flexible, and happy to work in a small close-knit team.

Responsibilities for the Technical Project Manager / Analyst will include:

Project Management (using standard methodologies, e.g. APMP & PRINCE2)

  • Project Reporting
  • Project Monitoring
  • Driving the requirement process and tracking progress of requirements
  • Requirements Management

 

Data Owner

  • Researching tools, techniques and applications on behalf of the software development team
  • Collating data, including liaising with companies to understand, evaluate and access their data sets
  • Analysis and normalisation of data sets

 

Essential

  • Highly numerate (preferably with a degree in a numerate, analytical or software-based subject)
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Data modelling (spreadsheet, R or other modelling tools) – experience of collating, manipulating and presenting data
  • Good Customer facing and presentation skills
  • Liaison with stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 5-7 years of experience as an Analyst
  • 1-2 years of experience team leading or project managing small teams.
  • A team player, self-motivated

 

Preferred Requirements for Technical Project Manager / Analyst:

  • Data Science skills/experience
  • Experience of Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience of using Project Management methodologies, e.g. PRINCE2, APMP
  • Previous experience in software development e.g. C++, C

 

You will be expected to travel to customers sites in the UK when required.

Salary:  £30,000 to £40,000 negotiable, plus 25 days holiday, pension
