Verification Engineer

 

Our client is looking for a Verification Engineer. This is due to a rapid expansion in product development activities means that our client requires a system test / verification engineer with a proven track record of working in an aerospace and defence environment on mixed technology electronic hardware and electronic systems to join our clients experienced team. The purpose of the role is the preparation of test plans and procedures and performing formal tests for requirement verification for prototype and pre-production hardware for all in-house development projects. Initially, this role has no direct reports although this may change as the business grows. This role is an opportunity for the role holder to shape and define the verification function for an ambitious aerospace product development function. Responsibilities will include the development of test plans and procedures, setup of test and measurement equipment, keeping accurate records, and analysis of results. A key element of the role will be the timely delivery of test results and analysis as directed by the relevant engineer/project manager and working closely with the deign team to ensure testability. The right candidate will be comfortable working as part of a small team and delivering accurate performance test results to a high standard. Based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire

 

As the Verification Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include: 

Degree Qualified in an engineering or science discipline

Experience working with ERP, formal change processes, engineering documents and data

Competent in all areas of MS Office, including report writing 

Experience Writing system test plans and procedures

Experience of measuring system performance of complex electronic systems

Ability to analyse test results and provide feedback to the design engineers

Accurate record keeping

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work to tight deadlines

 

As the Verification Engineer your main responsibilities will involve: 

Define and implement the verification and validation activities in accordance with the strategy outlined by the Head of Engineering, ensuring that all relevant processes and procedures are documented and issued.

Define and deliver all required verification and validation activities to prove that the design solutions are compliant to requirements and legislative standards (e.g. RTCA DO160, RoHs, WEEE, AS9100 rev D)

Deliver qualification packages in the format required by the Design Office of Airworthiness to allow certification to the relevant Aerospace standards

Establish cooperative team relationships between all internal functions

Responsible for engineering verification project deliverables meeting their quality, cost and delivery schedule targets

Promote an environment of continuous improvement
