Gregory Martin is currently seeking a Production Engineer near Camberley, Surrey.
Salary £30-35K
This role involves compiling their customer’s requirements and converting them into work instructions. You will also be supporting tooling to ensure their clients’ engineering and production team have everything they need to deliver what customers have ordered.
This role involves working with both the Sales department and Engineering Departments.
The successful candidate should have a sound understanding of production engineering with reference to CNC machining. You will have the ability to plan CNC machining operations. You will ensure that they are carried out efficiently by using your knowledge of materials, speeds, and feeds.
Experience of 3, 4, and 5 axis machining is essential. You should also be familiar with ERP or MRP production control systems as well as be able to utilise spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office software to produce documentation and reports.
Responsibilities of the Production Engineer/ Planner include:
- Creating parts, BOM’s and route planning on the production control system.
- Creation of works orders, purchase orders and subcontract documentation.
- Occasionally Placing Purchase Orders for raw material.
- Liaising with Production and Quality to provide customers with up-to-date progress information.
- Gathering and collating data for reporting purposes.
- Preparation of metrics for reports to Commercial Manager.
- General Duties as required conducive to efficient running of the department
In order to apply for this role, your experience should include:
- Knowledge of the Aerospace sub-contracting industry
- Experience of CNC machining and mechanical assembly.
- Effective data collection and reporting skills.
- knowledge of ERP or MRP production control systems.
- Familiarisation with Aerospace and ISO Quality standards.
- Ability to manage workload effectively.
- Ability to prioritise.Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
