Gregory Martin currently has several opportunities at a company based near Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

Due to expansion, this specialist high precision engineering company has three new vacancies and are seeking committed individuals who want to support the business in its growth. All require strong experience within the aerospace sector  

The first role is for a skilled Aerospace Quality Inspector. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector who has experience in aerospace quality inspection and standards required (ISO 9000, AS9100, ESAS Part21, EASA Part 145). 

You will be working within a small team, reporting to the Quality Manager. The right candidate needs solid measurement skills, calibration knowledge, experience of using the CMM Light Machine and an awareness of the AS 9100 standards. 

You should also have experience in completion of FAIR and a strong ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications. You will need good attention to detail and decent numeracy skills. This role pays a salary of up to 35k.

They are also looking for a skilled Centreless Grinder.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this role involves setting and running centreless grinders. The right candidate will have experience running Wickman Scrivener, Ghiringhelli Grinder, Cincinnati or Tschadun Grinder. 

You will be within their 2nd Ops area and largely work on grinding, with some other work on lathes and drilling when required.

You must have a strong understanding of aerospace standards and a solid ability to read micrometre and measuring equipment. This role pays a salary between £30k to 35k.

 Last but not least, they’re seeking a CNC Setter Operator.

Must have experience, setting and operating - CNC fixed and sliding head machines within the aerospace sector, with bar feeders (ideally SRA/SRB machines and/or Doosan, Hardinge, Mori & Star)

You must be able to run and set 1st and 2nd Ops machine tools and have some programming experience. The right candidate will also have experience with bar machine feeds and set and run machines with Fanuc and Seiki controls . 

You must have the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong measurement skills are also required for using a variety of tools.

Overtime is available and working hours are  Monday to Thursday 06.45-16.30, with a 37-hour week. The salary is between £30k to £35k and employee benefits include a pension plan, health cash plan, life assurance, EAP and shopping discounts.
