Our client is a well-established company located near Camberley, Surrey and are looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector for their day shift.
A key part of the role will be to carry out CMM inspection activities and the final inspection of aerospace machined components. You will be producing final CMM Reports in readiness for First Article Inspection, which is a key aspect of this challenging and exciting role.
You will be a high calibre, performance-driven Aerospace Inspector, preferably with experience in the sub-contract machining market, particularly in the aerospace sector.
You should have knowledge of BS EN 9100 Rev D and ISO 9000.
As well as those general standards, you will have good knowledge of individual requirements for aerospace companies. The right candidate will be expected to ensure that the company’s procedures and documentation align with the customers’ requirements.
Ideally, you should have 5 years’ experience in a similar role and be educated to HNC or experience in lieu. CMM Programming / running using PC-DMIS Software is also advantageous.
You will need extensive knowledge of conventional metrology methods, including the use of Micrometres, Vernier Callipers, and plug gauges.
