Are you interested in working in the UK’s aerospace industry?
Britain’s aerospace industry is one of the most advanced engineering sectors in the world. Aerospace companies invest heavily in cutting-edge technologies, including state-of-the-art CNC machinery, automated systems, and precision tooling.
For CNC Turners, this offers a chance to work with the best equipment in a clean, well-regulated environment.
Are you an experienced CNC Turner/ Setter Operator?
Gregory Martin is currently seeking candidates for a growing Aerospace Precision Engineering / Manufacturing company located in the Camberley area. You will be working in a safe, clear environment with the latest CNC machines.
This role involves performing setting and operating duties in the CNC Turning section machining components from a range of materials. The machine controls are mostly either Mazak or Fanuc. Our client has two Turn/Mill Lathes one of which has a Y axis and sub-spindle. There is also a Mazak J200 Integrex Mill/Turn in the section.
Mainly you will be involved in the preparation process and tooling sheets with pre-created programmes. However, you may need to utilise your machine-side editing skills. Some knowledge of conversational systems (Mazatrol/Hurco) would be advantageous.
You will need to understand materials and machining techniques and be able to demonstrate an ability to plan and execute jobs under pressure. Although not essential, a recognisable apprenticeship plus significant post-training industrial experience will be the greatest indicator of your abilities in these areas.
