HR Advisor

Location:  Portsmouth, Hampshire / Hybrid

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 with excellent benefits

 

Our client is a successful technical management consultancy providing technical expertise to projects in the Ministry of Defence. They also have experience working in the nuclear, defence, space, and transport sectors in the UK. Located in Portsmouth and due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced full time HR Advisor. This role can be hybrid with 2/3 days in the office. You should have experience as an HR Advisor or a similar role, with a deep understanding of employment law and HR operations, ability to support and implement HR operations that align with business needs, CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent, or committed to achieving this qualification.  Our client offers a very competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 with excellent benefits including Bonus; Personalised Professional Development; Comprehensive Health Care Coverage; Generous Holiday Allowance with Flexible Buy-Back Option; Pension Scheme 7% company contribution; Life Insurance Benefits; Convenient On-site Parking

 

Please note: Candidates will need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting their employment with the company. To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years’ UK residency.

 

HR Advisor Expertise Required:

  • Experienced HR professional with a solid foundation in supporting roles with a background that includes direct advisory capacities.
  • Knowledgeable in HR Functions including talent management, employee relations, and HR policy formulation. Ability to apply best practices in these areas to real-world business scenarios effectively.
  • Capability to handle HR tasks efficiently and contributing to the execution of strategic HR initiatives.

  

HR Advisor - The Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent communicator with robust skills in formulating and implementing HR policies and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record in supporting HR initiatives, navigating complex structures, and promoting innovative HR strategies.

 

HR Advisor Essential Attributes:

  • Experience as an HR Advisor or a similar role, with a deep understanding of employment law and HR operations.
  • Ability to support and implement HR operations that align with business needs.
  • Strong skills in negotiation and adept at stakeholder management.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent, or committed to achieving this qualification.
